ITANAGAR, 15 Mar: An 18-member handball team captained by Nabam Yemi from Arunachal left here on Sunday for Uttar Pradesh to take part in the 49th Senior Women’s National Handball Championship to be held in Bareilly from 17 to 21 March, informed the Arunachal Handball Association (AHA).
The players were selected after a 10-day coaching/training-cum-selection trial conducted at IG Park here, informed AHA secretary-general Nabam Lera.
Nabam Agu and Neelam Tagi are the manager and the coach of the team.
AHA president Taba Peri, secretary-general Lera and treasurer Nabam Tana advised the team members to maintain discipline and good sportsman spirit throughout the championship.
