RONO HILLS, 16 Jul: More than 625 people attended a virtual national seminar on ‘Financial planning and preparedness for financial inclusion’, organized by the commerce department of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) on 15 July.
The programme was organized with the prime objective of expanding financial education, knowledge, and information and awareness among school, college and university students and teachers.
RGU Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha inaugurated the seminar, which was organized in association with RGU’s management department, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Association of Mutual Funds in India [AMFI].
The VC stressed on the relevance of such national seminars. Senior faculty member Prof Tasi Kaye, RGU Pro-VC Amitava Mitra, RGU Commerce Department Assistant Professor Dr Vinod Kumar Yadav and Management Department Head Dr Shankar Thappa also spoke.
Samuel Babu Madella from the SEBI and Suryakant Sharma from the AMFI delivered lectures on the subject of financial planning in day-to-day life.
