NAHARLAGUN, Jan 24: Administrator of Arunachal Pradesh State Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd Habung Lampung has directed for focus on recovery and door-to-door campaign against defaulting borrowers.
He was speaking at the annual general body meeting of the bank here on 24 February.
He informed that the bank has launched various IT base services including ATM and mobile ATM van, which has received good response from the public.
He informed the members that the Apex Bank is now working on target and timeline with 15 main indicators with recovery being the main focus.
“The health of the primary co-operative societies must be improved to strengthen the Apex Bank,” said DGM, NABARD V Thirummalai.
He informed that NABARD has provided mobile ATM vans to the Apex Bank which should be used judiciously and has also suggested to the management of the bank to implement ‘Financial Inclusion’ programme in the rural and unbanked areas as co-operative societies are in touch with the grassroots for which NABARD has provision for assistance under the Co-operative Development Fund (CDF).
DRCS CN Mannoi has advised to strengthen the internal checks and control to minimize the frauds by the bank. He has directed to recover the NPA loans and seek Legal assistance if necessary.
He urged the bank employees to work day and night to improve the financial position of the bank as he assured all necessary support to improve the bank but said that the staff of the bank must reciprocate.
MD Cum CEO Tsering Thongdok also addressed the meeting.
