Maintain sanctity of voting

Editor,
In a democratic country, people make the government by way of voting. The right to vote is a fundamental right in any democratic country. It is the cornerstone of our democracy, and it allows the citizens to know how they are being served by the leaders they have elected.
The power to change the state and the country as a whole is in the hands of the people. That means that inside all of us is the power to change corrupt leaders. If we fail to utilise this right in an appropriate manner, we have to face the negative repercussions thereof.
As voters, we have to use our voting right prudently. We should not cast votes under the influence of any means other than our free will. If we fail to do so, we automatically become part of corruption, killing our voting rights.
Let’s pledge to keep the sanctity of voting in the coming elections. If we vote fairly in the making of a government, we will not be afraid of the government, but the government will be afraid of us.
