Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to reply to one of the letters written by one of the TGT aspirants on 17 September.
The fiasco was not our fault that there should not be re-advertisement of the TGT examination.
Those of us who have completed their BEd within these two years had not applied for the post of TGT, because we were not qualified at that time. Now, when we are qualified and waiting for the advertisement, this issue comes up.
We would like to ask the PGT aspirants – those who qualified – is this fiasco our fault? Then why are you against re-advertisement?
Do you want us to stay unemployed for 1-2 more years? Even we will be competing with aspirants who have had more than two years to prepare, whereas we didn’t get to prepare. But still we want to take that chance, rather than sitting idly and staying unemployed.
What we as TGT aspirants should ask is to increase the number of vacancies, and to increase the age limit by 2-3 more years, rather than going against each other.
Think of others, as well, brothers of the same state. We are in this together.
Leaving the rest to the judgement of the authorities.
TGT aspirant
