Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to light a critical issue faced by the candidates during the APPSC preliminary examination conducted on 15 December. It has come to our notice that there were six erroneous questions in the CSAT paper, which had no conclusive answers.
These flawed questions not only created confusion among the candidates but also consumed valuable time and energy as many of us tried to solve them, only to realise later that they were unsolvable. As a result, the candidates were unable to allocate sufficient time to the other, relatively easier sections of the paper. This has undoubtedly caused undue stress and put many candidates at a disadvantage.
I request the authorities concerned to award grace marks for all six erroneous questions to ensure fairness and justice for the aspirants. Such a step would help mitigate the negative impact these mistakes have had on the overall performance of the candidates, many of whom might fail to qualify solely because of this oversight.
I hope the APPSC takes swift action to address this issue and provides clarity to all candidates at the earliest.
A concerned aspirant
