Startup Arunachal

Under the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Programme, the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park (APIIP) aims to expand the number of entrepreneurs under its ambit.

Established in August 2020 under the Planning, Investment & Finance Department, the APIIP serves as the state’s flagship incubator under the Arunachal Pradesh Startup Policy. Through its annual startup challenges, the APIIP identifies promising entrepreneurs and offers them 9-month incubation and pre-incubation programmes to help them achieve commercial success. In addition, selected startups receive seed funding support.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu highlighted that 106 startups across three cohorts have already been supported, with over Rs 4.5 crore disbursed as seed funding.

To strengthen mentorship and guidance, the APIIP has signed memorandums of understanding with several academic institutions, including the Arunachal Pradesh University (Pasighat), Arunachal University of Studies (Namsai), Dorjee Khandu Government College (Tawang), Dera Natung Government College (Itanagar), NERIST (Nirjuli), NIT (Jote), and Rajiv Gandhi University (Doimukh).

Such innovative government initiatives must reach every aspiring entrepreneur seeking the right opportunities and financial assistance. Empowering local talent through structured support systems will pave the way for sustainable economic growth in the state.
