Editor,

I would like to voice the deep anguish and concern of the public regarding the ongoing infrastructure development in Lower Siang’s permanent headquarters in Siji.

Recent ground reports and videos brought to light by Takam Sonia of Arunbhoomi media and public leader Iken Tao have exposed a shocking reality. It appears that the construction of these vital administrative buildings is proceeding with nearly 100% quality compromise. The footage clearly suggests weak foundations, significant procedural lapses, and a disturbing lack of supervision.

Most scientifically alarming is the absence of sufficient water supply at the site. As any engineer knows, without proper water for curing, the foundation of such large buildings cannot achieve the required strength. We are essentially witnessing the construction of future hazards rather than assets.

I wish to draw the urgent attention of our local legislative members: Deputy Speaker and Likabali MLA Kardo Nyigyor, and Nari Koyu MLA Tojir Kadu to the situation.

As representatives of the people, you are the guardians of this district’s development. Just as you are credited for the establishment of the headquarters, you will be held responsible for its structural failure. If these buildings are built on weak foundations today, the blame for any future mishaps or financial loss will rest squarely on your shoulders.

The public is watching closely. We demand immediate intervention, rigorous quality checks, and an explanation for these lapses. Accountability will be sought, and if this negligence continues, the public response will be harsh.
