GUWAHATI, 29 Jan: Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Star Cement Limited, Pradeep Purohit was presented with the ‘Achiever Award for Corporate Excellence’ at the Sadin-Pratidin Group achiever awards-giving ceremony 2025, held in Guwahati on Tuesday.
The award was presented by union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M Scindia in recognition of Purohit’s exemplary leadership and significant contribution to strengthening corporate performance, alongside his continued focus on high-impact and responsible corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Beyond corporate leadership, Purohit is also widely recognised for his active role in addressing key industry and policy concerns relevant to the Northeast – particularly in the cement and allied sectors. Purohit also holds a prominent leadership position as chairman of the CII North Bengal Zonal Council. In addition, Purohit is associated with the Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati as a professor of practice.
