ITANAGAR, Aug 5: The Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) recently conducted a series of health camps at Chimpu, Kharsingsa, Tamen, Dollungmukh, Kangku, Nari-Koyu, Likabali and Bhalukpong under its non-statutory benefits programme.
Over 900 workers from organized and unorganized sectors, along with members of the public, benefited from the free health camps.
Workers were treated for seasonal common diseases, and free medicines, also provided by the board, were dispensed to them. Patients and workers requiring further treatment, and those who were in serious condition, were referred to nearby government health institutes.
The camps were conducted under the supervision of the registering officer of the district concerned, trade union leaders, and former panchayat members.
Pamphlets on statutory and non-statutory benefits were also distributed.
