KOMSING, Nov 9: The tower on the right bank of Komsing bridge in Siang district was launched on Friday in a ceremony attended by, among others, DC Rajeev Takuk, PWD SE Tapi Darang and SP Kushal Pal Singh.
Addressing the gathering of GBs from Pangin, Koreng, Yeksi, Sissen, Pangi and Komsing Karo, prominent citizens, and general public, the DC urged them to cooperate with the department concerned to ensure early completion of the bridge.
He sanctioned Rs 1 lakh for repairing the hanging bridge – the lifeline of Komsing Karo village – which was badly damaged in the recent flood.
Once completed, the bridge will serve the people of Nugong Banggo area and the district as a whole. (DIPRO)
