ITANAGAR, Dec 4: An awareness campaign-cum-vaccination on typhoid was conducted at the Mother’s Angel Residential School here by SHEEP Society, Yupia, a local NGO on Monday last.
During the programme,senior medical officer TRIMHS Naharlagun, Dr. Mope Riba spoke about health and hygiene and informed the students about typhoid, its transmission, prevention and control measure.
Director TMA International School-cum- Chairman of EDOS (Educational Development Society, Riba Pangia appreciated the NGO for carrying out the awareness program which was carried out within Papum Pare district and capital complex with the approval from Director Health Service and DMO Yupia, DDSE Papum Pare and DDSE Capital Complex.
The programme especially, targeted children belonging to BPL category and orphan students within the age group 2 years and above who were not covered under government sponsored routine immunization program.
