NAHARLAGUN, Dec 9: Mizoram and Jharkhand won their respective matches in the Hero Sub-Junior National Football Championship (NFC) at RG Stadium here on Sunday.
Mizoram beat Telangana 3-1 while Jharkhand defeated Haryana 5-1 to maintain their winning run.
Isak Zomuanpuia put Mizoram ahead, scoring in the 35th minute. Two more goals were added by Vanlal Malsawma and Vanlal Muanpuia in the second half.
Suraj Baxla scored all the five goals against Haryana in the 4th, 15th, 16th, 56th and 84th minutes.
The consolation goal for Haryana came in the 83rd minute, scored by Sony.
On Monday, Arunachal Pradesh will take on Odisha at 6 pm, and Maharastra will play against Punjab at 2 pm.
