JULLANG, Dec 14: Akhilesh Sahani’s quick-fire 84 runs helped Yomgo Yorkers thrash Pare Tigers by 55 runs in a match of the first Arunachal Pradesh T20 Cricket Premier League at the general ground here on Friday.
After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Yomgo Yorkers set Pare Tigers a massive 191-run target with a required run rate of 9.5 to win the match.
Raju Pegu of Pare Tigers took three wickets in 4 overs.
In reply, Pare Tigers could muster only 135 runs, losing seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Tai Magung scored the highest (35) runs from 29 balls.
Sahani of Yomgo Yorkers, who blasted his 84 runs from just 40 balls, was declared man of the match.
Tirap Challengers beat Tawangchu Stallions by 42 runs in a low-scoring match.
Tirap Challengers, who batted first, scored 105 run in 16.5 overs.
Tawangchu Stallions made a poor start in their run chase and were bundled out for a paltry 63 runs.
Nabam Gunia was the last wicket to fall. He made a brilliant 20 runs.
Sams Alam of Tirap Challengers, who claimed six wickets for 10 runs, was adjudged the man of the match.
