YUPIA, Nov 21: Minister of UD, Housing and Land Management, Nabam Rebia held a meeting at Sopo RR Village on Tuesday regarding the establishment of a VKV at Sopo.
During the inspection, it was found that Sopo RR Village has the required infrastructure facilities, including water supply, power, road connectivity, staff quarters, school building and play ground, and is ready for occupation.
VKV India Vice President Maharaj Balkrishnan agreed in-principle for immediate establishment of a VKV at Sopo RR village.
Later, the Minister, along with his visiting team interacted with Pare Hydro Power officials at the construction site, which is scheduled to be commissioned by December 31 next.
The Minister was accompanied by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye, VKV Arunachal President, Dr Joram Begi and locals. (DIPRO)
