Through your esteem column, I would like to draw attention regarding appointment of candidates kept in waiting list. Waiting list appointment is completely illegal as per court order if the appointment is made against new vacancy but it is legal if the appointment is done within advertised post due to resignation or death within validity period.
But in our state, case is different.
For example, two posts are advertised and two candidates are appointed but 8 candidates are kept in waiting list.
They are appointed later against new vacancy which has been declared illegal by the Guwahati high court.
The vacancies should be advertised for fresh recruitments.
