LONGDING, Oct 4: District RCH Officer, Dr S Rigia gave an overview on the upcoming Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) during a District Task Force for immunization (DTFi) -cum- Convergence Meeting of District Health Society, Longding district, on October 4.
Dr Rigia highlighted the differences between Mission Indradhanush and IMI, while also informing that the goals are same -to reach highest level of immunization coverage.
District Program Manager Lai Bagang gave a PowerPoint presentation on upcoming IMI, scheduled to be held from October 7 till January 2018, besides status of immunization coverage, strength of human resources, etc.
Further, Additional Deputy Commissioner M Loyi directed all stakeholders to perform their assigned tasks well and not be entirely dependent on the ASHAs, AWW and ANMs alone.
Longding Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Malik stressed on strengthening the IEC activities, and make necessary information available to all citizens. He also assured requisition of vehicles and other support wherever required.
