TAWANG, Oct 4: Parliamentary Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, Phurpa Tsering paid surprise visits to various health facilities under Tawang constituency to learn about the quality of services being extended to the public.
At Khando Drowa Sangmo District Hospital Tawang, he interacted with indoor patients, and held a brief interaction with the staff. Reiterating on the nobility of the medical profession and the dedication of the state government to improve the health care system, he instructed the staff to be sincere in their duties and assured of all possible help from the government.
He also visited Khinmey Sangnag Choekorlling Monastery where he assured to create a Sub Health Centre to cater to the needs of health services for villagers.
On the same day, Tsering, accompanied by the District Medical Officer and DRCHO also visited health centres under Lumla Constituency. At Community Health centre Lumla, he was apprised about the need of an ambulance at PHC Zemithang and shortage of staff at Lumla, which he assured to look into. (DIPRO)
