ITANAGAR, Oct 6: Vivekananda Central School (VCS), Itanagar won the State Level Science Drama Competition 2017 organized by Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, IG. Park here on Friday. JNK Public School was the runners up.
Phuntso Dorjee of VCS and Rinii Tilling Bamin of JNK Public School were adjudged as the best actor and best actress respectively.
Dr. AK Pandey of VCS and Longiam Bikram of JNK Public School were adjudged as the Best Director and the Best Script Writer.
Students from Itanagar and Naharlagun participated in the programme.
The focal theme of the competition was “Science & Society” which has been divided into four sub themes Swachh Bharat: Role of Science and Technology, Cleansing of River’s, Digital India and Green Energy.
The winner of the competition will participate in the zonal level Science drama competitions to be held at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati on October 27.
The national level competition of the three tier event will be organized by National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Kolkata.
