As the October month arrives the working season starts in Arunachal. From April to September it becomes extremely difficult to carry out any kind of developmental work due to monsoon effect. State witness’s heavy rainfall during monsoon season and most of the developmental projects are stopped because of incessant rain. Now that the working season has arrived the entire works department should gear up and start the work in war footing. Especially the agencies involved in construction of road including Trans Arunachal highway (TAH), PMGSY, etc. will have to make maximum use of the working season.
The ambitious TAH project is still yet to pick pace and for various reasons it has not been able to achieve the desire result. Lack of proper monitoring and lackadaisical attitude on the part of contractors have contributed to delay in construction of TAH. State government along with ministry of road transport and highway will have to intervene and look for the solution to speed up the work. This year monsoon caused major upheaval and it lead to large scale devastation across the state. Several road and other infrastructures has been damaged. State government should identify the priority area and make efforts to improve it. Time is running out fast. There is urgent need to speed up the work.
