It is in reference to the letter “Keep the post open for all” by Thungam Wonlowan dated 19th Oct. Here we would like to clarify that the posts of district sports officer and assistant sports officer are administrative posts but it is purely technical and professional.
Thus, claiming for its open advertisement for all is irrelevant and invalid.
Moreover, we would like to bring to his knowledge that many technical and sports professional degree holders -B.P.ed (Bachelor of Physical Education), M.P.ed (Master of Physical Education) and M.Phil in Physical Education are unemployed for many years and they must be given chance in line with their professional qualifications.
Therefore, Arunachal Physical Education and Sports Union strongly urge the department of Sports and Youth affairs to adhere on giving chance to unemployed Physical Education Degree holders and at the same time, it is requested to exclude the provision for coaches to be promote d to the post of DSO and ASO from existing RR at the earliest please.
