RUKSIN, Oct 30: The construction work of Bogibeel Bridge over the Brahmaputra River is progressing well and is expected to be completed in six months, NF Railway (Construction) sources said.
“About 80 percent of the bridge construction works have been completed and it will take another six months to complete the remaining works,” the sources said.
The 4.94 km-long bridge has 42 posts, of which 39 have already been erected.
A team of All Assam Students Union (AASU) recently visited the bridge site to take stock of the progress of the construction work. It demanded the Central Government for early completion and opening of the bridge.
