DA sets conditions for IG park events

ITANAGAR, Oct 30: The District Administration Capital Complex has said that if terms and conditions set for organizing events in Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar are violated, legal action would be initiated against the violators which may also include blacklisting the organisation from holding further events at the park.
DC Prince Dhawan further said that in future if any such events are organised with government approval, the organisers should keep in mind to adhere to the terms and conditions, otherwise the DA will initiate action under relevant sections of law, including fine and blacklisting of the organisations.
Meanwhile, on Monday a sum of Rs 50,000 on AboTani Clan Organisation (ATCO) as security deposit for maintaining cleanliness in the IG Park was realised.
If the organisers fail to comply with the order of the DA in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, the amount shall be forfeited to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
The DC had earlier given permission to President, ATCO for organising foundation day cum celebration at IG park Itanagar from October 25-31 with conditions-loud speaker shall be tuned at minimum level of audibility, fire safety measures and cleanliness, prohibition of liqour and gambling of any kind and time restriction up to 10 PM only.
Meanwhile, a team led by the administrative officers of the Capital Complex conducted raid at the park during which many gambling items, IMFL were seized. (DIPRO)
