ROING, Nov 5: The All Idu Mishmi Students Union (AIMSU) served an ultimatum to the District Administration of Dibang Valley to initiate departmental inquiry and to ensure disciplinary action against the three government officials allegedly involved in illegal confinement and serving alcohol to three minor girls at their official residence.
The student body has vehemently condemned the misdemeanour and misconduct of the officials.
“Such act on part of the government officials not only darken the image of the government but also poses potential threat to the common people,” the students’ union said, adding that such incident should not be taken lightly.
General Secretary of the Union, Eha Mili informed that the Union has served the DA an ultimatum till November 8, 2017.
The AIMSU has said that some anti-social elements are trying to give the whole issue a communal colour.
“Any offender, whether local or non-local, trying to exploit children, or any wrongdoing for that matter, will not be spared and justice will be sought. Giving it a communal colour is really very sad”, said Mili.
Reportedly, the offenders are out on bail and have left Anini.
