An Utter Disgrace

Dear Editor,
Through your esteemed daily, I would like to bring to the notice of highly prestigious commission, APPSC, that they have failed to understand that the commission is meant to provide equal opportunities to all the aspirants of the state. With reference to the examination, APPSC CCE, held on 26th of November, 2017, the paper set for Electrical Engineering as an optional was highly uncalled for.
The question sets have always been standardised for different exminations like SPSC, GATE, IES, SSC, etcetera considering the time factor, level of toughness at par the ground of the recruitment.
The question paper for engineering branches had lots of numerical based questions, yet use of calculator was prohibited, incrementing the time consumption, which indirectly degrades the performance, deterring the students of the opportinities, as comparison will be done among all. The level of standard for Electrical branch was higly raised which is unjust as the level of toughness is meant to be equal for all and justified. Lack of analysis is what can be inferred from this. Moreover lack of opportunities have always been a major concern for the electrical students in the state, and such response from commission deprives us more. More scrutinisation and analysis is exactly what we expect from the paper setter considering this is an examination among all the streams.
Yours,
An aspirant
