ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The state unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) today urged the state government to accelerate the construction of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) in the state.
‘The TAH would not only provide road connectivity to all the districts but also facilitate development in an agrarian state like Arunachal Pradesh,’ the NPP’s state unit stated in representation to the Chief Minister.
The completion of the highway, it said, would give a new thrust to the growth of the agri-horticulture sector, and suggested that the state government appoint district-wise monitoring committees, comprising civil society members and panchayat leaders to speed up road works.
