TAWANG, Dec 8: Officials of line departments, NGO representatives, and farmers participated in a meeting organised here by the Tawang Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s (KVK) Scientific Advisory Committee on Friday.
Addressing the participants, District Fisheries Development Officer, MC Adak stressed on the need for the KVK to extend scientific and expert help to farmers for rearing and conserving indigenous fish species.
ADO KB Kayastha advised the KVK to also carry out farmer-friendly work beyond its mandated activities to get better output from the farmers, while Acting Director of the ICAR’s Dirang-based NRC-Yak Project, Dr P Chakravarty, who chaired the meeting, suggested taking up collaborative programmes with the ICAR, NRC-Yak Project for the benefit of the farmers.
