ITANAGAR, Dec 10: Like in the previous year, the National Yuva Cooperative Society (NYCS) will conduct the third selection trials for Gas Authority of India (GAIL) Indian Speed Star at Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) Ground, Chimpu near here on December 10.
The event is conducted to identify, select and nurture young talented athletes for track events 100M, 200M and 400M across the country in the age category of 11 to 14 years and 15 to 17 years for both boys and girls, informed NYCS Programme Coordinator Gyamar Kassung.
In Season-II, around 400 students from western districts of Arunachal Pradesh took part in the event, out of which 19 athletes were selected for Zonal trial, which will be conducted during February.
