CHIMPU, Dec 20: Home Secretary GS Meena on Wednesday described students as “the future academicians of the country.”
Addressing the annual sports meet of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 here, Meena motivated the students to actively participate in extracurricular activities, and assured the government’s support to the school.
Higher & Technical Education Director, Dr Tayek Talom, informed that the state government has abolished the no-detention policy. “Henceforth everyone will have to work hard to pass the exams,” he said, and also called for maintaining discipline.
The school’s principal, Principal GD Meena, said that the school regularly observes activities like literary, sports, cultural, exposure tour, etc.
Prizes were distributed by the guests present. Also cash awards were distributed by the Kendriya Vidayalaya Sanghatahan (KVS) to 11 meritorious students who secured CGPA 10 in the last CBSE Class X examination.
