ITANAGAR, Dec 24: The Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) has selected 20 players for the senior national football tournament for Santosh Trophy scheduled to be held at Aizawl, Mizoram, from 6 January, 2018.
The players were selected based on their performance in the recently held Arunachal Super League (ASL) and the 16th Tadar Tang Football Championship, informed APFA’s Competition Director John Neelam.
The team: Goalkeepers TT Sunikjee (APP) and Dado Sam (Kra-Daadi); Defenders Millo Taki (Lower Subansiri), Vishal Munda (U-21, West Siang), Gangte Chupi (Capital Complex), Matin Tayeng (U-21, East Siang), Nyali Ete (West Siang), and Dorjee Sharpa (Papum Pare); Midfielders Tony Ragyor (West Siang), Nabam Peri (Academy), Pura Bhai (Lower Subansiri), Taw Akash (Capital Complex), and Bvabang Dolev (Papum Pare);Forwards RD Karma (Capital Complex), Puji Noha (U-21, Lower Subansiri), Charu Lalum (U-21, Kra-Daadi), Vivek Gurung (Namsai), Rigio Tapu (U-21, Capital Complex), Liki Nirin (APP), and Techi Tatra (Aizawl FC).
