ITANAGAR, Dec 24: The All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) has condemned the authorities of various banks in the capital for not replenishing the empty ATMs in Itanagar and Naharlagun.
In a release, the association on Sunday stated that the ATMs of almost all the banks have run out of cash, causing unnecessary harassment to the public.
‘The banks charge for the various services they provide, but they fail to live up to the customers’ expectation,’ it said.
It added that the fact that most of the shopping malls and fuel depots have not installed POS machines spoke volumes of the pitiable status of cashless transaction in the state, and demanded that the banks’ authorities make cash available in their respective ATMs during the festive season.
