ITANAGAR, Jan 23: Tape Gee, who was working as a peon in the Governor Secretariat here, died on 22 January.
In a condolence meeting at Raj Bhavan on 23 January, the governor recalled Gee as a sincere and dedicated staffer, and said his death has caused a great loss not only to his family but also to the Raj Bhavan.
Offering prayers for the peace of the departed, the governor said, “It is the duty of every member of the Raj Bhavan to ensure that the children of late Gee are taken care of till they stand on their own feet.”
The governor, along with Raj Bhavan staff visited Gee’s residence and laid a wreath on his mortal remains. He met the family members of the deceased, offered financial assistance, and consoled them. (PRO to Governor)
