ITANAGAR, Jan 30: The Centre will soon be releasing the first installment of Rs 194 crore to Arunachal Pradesh for developing Pasighat as a smart city, Union Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently informed in a letter to Lok Sabha Member Ninong Ering.
‘The first installment of Rs 194 crore for Pasighat smart city would be released to the state soon. The state government has to contribute its matching share to the Pasighat smart city,’ the letter read.
Welcoming the Centre’s move, Ering, who represents Arunachal East constituency, in a release on Tuesday said, however, that he would be demanding that the ministry change the sharing ratio to 90:10, in favour of the state government.
