In praise of Pema

Dear Editor,
The youngest Chief Minister of India is Pema Khandu. He is also only CM in India who became Chief Minister of the three political parties – Congress, PPA and BJP — within six months from July 2016 to January 2017.
As Congress Chief Minister he had to share policy with Padi Richo, the then APCC President, secondly with PPA President Kahfa Bengia and now, thirdly, with BJP President Tapir Gao. People like Richo, Kahfa and Tapir cannot deny that Pema does not know anything about them.
The experience he gained from the leaders of three political parties is very precious for him, because it can help him in the hour of need to sense easily about their plan and accordingly he can place his gun at his choicest direction in order to keep sailing his ship smoothly. Now, he is not only popular in this state but also widely known all over India as a popular Chief Minister at his thirty eight years age, till today.
His popularity has been proved when Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated him so much for his performance and vision during his speech at IG Park on 15 February, 2018. In my life long journalism career I have seen visit of various Prime Ministers to this state like Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, HD Deve Gowda, Narasimha Rao, Manmohan Singh, Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, but no one had ever appreciated so much to any Chief Minister of this State.
Practically, it is a great success for him within 19 months’ time. However, every rise has also a fall in due course of time but actual successful people never prepare only for his success, rather, they always work for his state and its people.
Yours’
Taro Chatung
