TAWANG, Feb 21: Thousands attended a mega legal service camp jointly organized by the District Legal Service Authority in collaboration with district administration and the Human Rights First NGO, which was inaugurated by Tawang Deputy Commissioner, Sang Phuntsok here on Tuesday last.
As part of the camp, various kiosks were set up by the government departments wherein people were informed about important state and central schemes.
The camp also saw on the spot delivery of services viz, issue of ST certificates, PRC, birth certificates, ILPs, Aadhar enrolment, distribution of LED bulbs under UJALA scheme, registration of farmers under HORTNET portal, banking services, traffic assistance, and such.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tsering Tashi hoped that the event would go a long way in bringing the benefits at grassroots level, thereby bridging the gap between the public and the welfare initiatives of the government.
Tawang JMFC cum member secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Damge Niri, HoDs, GBs and PRI members also attended the camp. (DIPRO)
