LONGDING, Feb 24: A marathon race with the theme ‘Run for Sports’ was organized here on Friday.
Anai Wangsu of Longkhaw village and Kholang Wangpan of the same village won the race in women and men’s category respectively.
Amo Wangsu, a class V student, also took part in the race and came in 10th position.
Winners were awarded cash prizes.
The 12-km short marathon race was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Longding Taga Ekke from Niausa village, in presence of DSO Ahua Wangsu. The race culminated at the general ground here.
The District Sports department organized the race under the aegis of the district administration. (DIPRO)
