ITANAGAR, Feb 28: Condolence messages continued to pour in from various organizations and government departments over the death of Taba Tania (Nakam), first class state football referee.
Tania, who had received grievous injury in a road accident here recently, was referred to Shillong, where he breathed his last on Tuesday morning.
Sports Authority of Arunachal (SSA) Chairman Bamang Tago described Tania’s death as an irreparable loss for the sports fraternity of the state.
“He was an energetic youth, who had worked dedicatedly for the development of football in the state. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss not only for the football fraternity but also entire sports lovers of the state,” said Tago.
The SAA Chairman, on behalf of all the state level registered sports associations, sports lovers and the SAA, extended deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
The department of Sports and Youth Affairs also deeply mourned Tania’s premature death.
Arunachal Pradesh Football Referees Association (APFRA) expressed profound grief and sorrow over the premature demise of Tania.
“Tania’s untimely demise at a young age is a great loss for the state’s sports, particularly football,” the APFRA said.
While conveying deep sense of condolence and sympathy to the bereaved family, the football referee association of the state, prayed to bestow courage to the family members of Tania to bear the irreparable loss.
