Jairampur Battalion distributes over 1550 solar lights to villagers

KOHIMA, Feb 28: The Jairampur Battalion of Security Forces distributed over 1550 solar lights worth Rs 2 crore to villagers of Changlang, Tirap and Longding districts on 27 February.
Interaction with the gram burahs of these villages during solar lights distribution function, Director General of Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Shokin Chauhan said that the force is committed in helping out various ethnic groups in the state, besides ensuring peace and tranquillity in the region.
The solar light project is being undertaken by the security forces under the aegis of Director General of Assam Rifles to illuminate houses of all of the far flung villages in south of Arunachal Pradesh. (PRO Defence)
