Naharlagun, Mar 15: The income tax officials on Thursday reportedly raided the office of Naharlagun based liquor baron Sanjay Diwan.
IT officials from Guwahati searched the office of the frontier distillery and three star ware house. The raid was led by two deputy commissioner rank officers.
The details of raid are still awaited with the state police as well as Tax and Excise department refusing to divulge any details.
In the last one year, several instances of income tax raids on businessmen and government officials were reported, especially within the Capital Complex.
Recently, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee had also alleged that the state government is harassing businessmen using the IT department.
