BRO labour union places demands before PM

ITANAGAR, Mar 15: The North East Region BRO Labourers’ Union (BROLU-NER), has in a 10-point memorandum, addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanded job regularization and implementation of labour laws.
The BROLU-NER in its memorandum demanded implementation of the labour law, payment of bonus as per (amendment)Act, 2015, grant of social security Act such as EPF, ESI and insurance, regularization policy for workers, construction of crèches and schools at workers’ camp, cancellation of DGBR’s notification no. 204/CPL/116/E2 dated 15/9/2017 for fixing of upper age limit to 50 years and discontinuation for advertisement of posts, like handymen, driver, mason, carpenter, painter, cook, etc.
The BROLU-NER further informed the Prime Minister that no action has been initiated by the Defence Ministry to address their grievances till now despite repeated pleas.
