ITANAGAR, Mar 16: The Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan in an order has declared the proposed 36 hours Capital bandh call from 19 to 20 March by the All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Forum (AAPYF) as unconstitutional and illegal.
The order stated that such bandh calls causes untold misery and hardship to the suffering patients, students and business community in particular and the public at large.
In the order the DM has directed the Station Superintendent, APSTS, Itanagar and Naharlagun to ensure that all the APSTS buses shall ply normally. He has also directed the District Food and Civil Supply Officer, Capital Complex to ensure that all the petrol depot/outlets remain open on 19 and 20 March’ 2018 without fail. He has also directed the DDSE, Capital Complex to ensure that all schools within the capital complex are open and students attend classes as normal.
The president and secretary of all transport federations, Capital Complex to ensure that all the private vehicles shall ply normally during bandh call without fail, otherwise their plying permit shall be cancelled/ suspended.
IMWA and Bazar Welfare Committees of Naharlagun and Nirjuli were also asked to ensure that all the shops within capital complex shall remain open normally without fail otherwise their trade licence shall be cancelled or suspended. The hawker & vendor federation, Capital Complex are also directed to run their business normally. (DIPRO ICC)
