TEZU, Mar 27: The first governing body meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samity of the zonal general hospital (ZGH) here in Lohit district was held at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall on Tuesday.
Chairing the meeting, DC Karma Leki acknowledged the shortage of the general duty medical officers and the nursing staff, and advised the medical staff to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Urging the medical officers and staff not to compromise with quality work, he said, “Delivering the best possible service to the needy and poor patients should be our objective.”
He also emphasized on proper coordination between the DMO, the DRCHO and the medical superintendent (MS).
MS Dr Anupam Wailong made a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the status, achievements and functioning of the hospital. He pointed out the lack of manpower such as GDMO, GNM/ANM,security guards, insufficient sanitary assistants, etc, as the main challenges before the hospital.
Among others, representatives of the All Mishmi Women Welfare Society were present in the meeting.(DIPRO)
