Chai inaugurates infrastructure projects

TEZU, May 3: Minister for Art & Culture, Dr Mohesh Chai on Thursday inaugurated four buildings here at different locations.
The Investigating Officers’ (IO) building was inaugurated at the premises of Tezu Police Station. Executed by WRD, the new IO building with two rooms, would house the offices of investigation officers.
The minister also inaugurated two classroom buildings at Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu which was executed by the WRD. The first building with three classrooms was constructed under Untied Fund of 2015-2016. The second building consists of academic block and students’ common room which was funded under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
To mark the inauguration ceremony, a small programme was organised at the academic block college. In the programme, Dr Chai expressed his desire to make IGG College Tezu as the “number one college” in Arunachal Pradesh.
He told the students to excel in their studies and realize their own dreams and their parents’ dreams and not go haywire from those dreams. He also announced that 100 pairs of desk and bench would be provided to the college for the new classrooms.
Dormitory for 10 persons at VIP suite at the Circuit House was also inaugurated. The building consists of two rooms with five beds each with attached toilet and bathrooms.
Later, he visited and inspected the ongoing construction of the treasury office building, mini secretariat building and indoor badminton hall.
SDO Kajal Karmakar, HoDs and public leaders accompanied the minister. (DIPRO)
