Apex bank conducts review meeting

NAHARLAGUN, May 6: The Arunachal Pradesh State Co-op Apex Ltd conducted its annual review meeting on 5 and 6 of this month here at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), which was attended by branch managers of all its 37 branches and senior officers and officials from head offices.
The administrator of the bank, Habung Lampung reviewed the performance of the branches and expressed satisfaction with the achievement made against the targets fixed by him in its last review meeting held in October 2017.
He, however, directed all the branch managers to strive harder to make the bank more vibrant and customer-friendly, adding that the senior officers have to set an example for junior staffers.
He also directed fixing the targets for deposits and recovery for the year 2018-19 and agreed to extend any support from his level.
Lampung informed that with the support of the state government, the Apex Bank will soon install ATM machines in all the branches, and implement Financial Inclusion Plan in the state.
Accordingly, he directed the Managing Director of Apex Bank to expedite installation of ATM machines, micro ATMs and kiosks in all the branches and un-banked areas so that the beneficiaries can withdraw the benefits provided by the government.
“This will also be a great help to the tourists visiting our state”, he added.
Earlier, Managing Director Tsering Thongdok highlighted the performance of the bank. He lauded the branches for recovery of more than Rs 30 crores during the year.
During the meeting, all branch managers made presentations of the performance of their respective branches and fixed an ambitious deposit and recovery target for the year 2018-19.
In the second day, a workshop on the banking services through adoption of technology was organized for the branch managers of the bank.
Asim Bharali and Pradip Sarkar, representatives from Yes Bank from Kolkata and IT experts from the Apex Bank dwelt in detail about the various services and technologies adopted by the banks.
