ITANAGAR, May 15: The All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has demanded that the director of elementary education (DEE) send teachers, principals, headmasters, etc, who have been appointed in various posts under the RMSA, the SSA and TE under the establishment of DDSEs, SPD, SMD, and the director of elementary & secondary education, back to the schools where they were originally posted.
In a memorandum to the DEE, the union said there is no need anymore to continue these designated posts after the introduction of the Integrated Scheme of School Education (ISSE) by the Government of India.
Stating that only one district programme coordinator for each district will be appointed as per the new scheme, the APPDSU appealed to the DEE to immediately send the teachers, principals, headmasters, etc, in administrative posts back to their original places of posting in the larger interest of the student community and the public.
“The department of education should not consider their prayer for continuation in their posts at any cost or succumb to political pressure, as various schools in remote areas are running without the required number of teachers,” the APPDSU said.
