Union claims ration shortage in Tali and Pipsorang

ITANAGAR, May 15: The All Tali Area Students’ Union has claimed that insufficient rations are being dropped at Tali and Piposorang circles in Kra Daadi district “due to unnecessary lifting of passengers during ration sorties.”
In a letter to the Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner, the union claimed that government employees posted in the two circles are receiving insufficient rations as the allocation itself is meagre.
It added that some of the rice bags are often unloaded at Naharlagun and Ziro to accommodate passengers.
“Passengers with vested interests board the choppers making ration sorties, with the help of influential people, forcing the ration bags to be unloaded,” the union said, and urged the authority to look into the matter.
