Security forces nab NSCN OGWs

KHONSA, May 25: Personnel of the Khonsa battalion of the Assam Rifles apprehended two over-ground workers (OGW) of the NSCN (IM) and the NSCN (K) during an operation in Sanliam village near here on the night of 24 May.
Based on information about the presence of cadre of the banned outfit trying to terrorize and carry out extortion in the village, the battalion launched an operation and apprehended an OGW with extortion notes and money.
During interrogation the OGW admitted allegiance to the NSCN (IM) and divulged the location of another OGW, of the NSCN (K), in Pongkong village. The security forces apprehended the second OGW also, along with extortion notes and money, according to a release from the Kohima-based defence PRO.
