NAFRA, May 25: Health & Family Welfare Parliamentary Secretary (Phurpa Tsering urged the Sajolang Elite Society (SES) to work for preservation of age-old culture and traditions.
“We should go with modern society, but we should never forget our roots,” said the PS while addressing the 13th foundation day celebration of the SES here on Friday.
He assured all possible help for the uplift of the society.
PHED Parliamentary Secretary Kumsi Sidisow also attended the programme, and exhorted the youths to take the lead in preservation of tradition and culture.
He also urged the elders of the society to encourage youths to embrace small-scale enterprises to promote self reliance.
Among others, local MLA Japu Deru, SES president Johny Miji, and ZPC Tsewang Lhamu attended the function.
