ITANAGAR, May 29: Informing that an unauthorized document is in circulation on the social media, showing the structure of the PRIs after the expiry of the five-year term of the PRI in the state, Panchayati Raj (PR) Special Secretary Nyali Ete on Tuesday clarified that the institutional mechanism in place of the PRIs has not been finalized yet, and the structure shown in the document is incorrect.
“The unauthorized document shows the district planning committee below the deputy commissioner (chairman) at the district level, and the senior most head GB/senior most GB as chairperson of the village level committee,” Ete said.
“This unauthorized document is not a part of the letter of the secretary (PR), which was addressed to the deputy commissioners, informing about the expiry of the panchayat term. The institutional mechanism shown in the unauthorized document is incorrect. The institutional mechanism will be notified by a government notification on 30 May, 2018,” he informed.
