ITANAGAR, Jun 21: Minister Tax& Excise Jarkar Gamlin inaugurated the newly constructed conference hall and computer lab of the department here at the office premise of the commissioner on Thursday.
Twenty five laptops and printers were distributed to the district superintendents and officers of headquarter to equip them with day to day activities under GST.
In his address, Gamlin advised all the officials to work in unison for the welfare of the department. He also urged the officials to put extra effort to generate more revenue for the state and assured his support for the cause of the department.
Parliamentary Secretary Tapuk Taku advised the officers to be punctual to prevent the leakage of revenue and to make best use of the assets created for the department.
Tax & Excise Commissioner Anirudh Singh asked the field officers to acquaint themselves with provisions of the GST and directed the assessing officers to start assessment of dealers in time bound manner for better revenue generation and to avoid leakage of revenue.
